Teresa attended Providence High School, Joliet. She enjoyed activities with her class. One such event was 'Apple Blossom Time' with Gene Victor's Orchestra Tuesday evening, May 4, 1948 where she and her class enjoyed dancing from 8:30 to 11:30 at the Elk's Ballroom in downtown Joliet. Teresa graduated from Providence High School with the Class of '48. Commencement ceremony was held May 23, 1948. Class officers were Marie T. Culik (President), Marie Cunico (Vice President), Anna Marie Folena (Secretary) and Dolores Ginejko (Treasurer).
Teresa married William P. Kezerle at St. Joseph's Church in Rockdale on October 27, 1951. Maid of Honor was Dorothy Prouty and Best Man was James Kinsley. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Raymond at the time of her death.
She loved to travel. Prior to her husband's death, they traveled to Michigan, South Dakota and Montana. After Bill's death, she traveled to London, Ireland, France, Italy, Greece and Egypt. She also traveled within the United States, often getting her her car and driving to wherever she ended up.
Teresa had a kind heart and a loving spirit often befriending someone in need.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother, a sister and her daughter-in-law, Patricia Kezerle, October 2, 1999.
A memorial service was held Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Baker officiating.
