Isaac Wiser Richardson was born on April 27, 1858 in Tennessee, and he was the son of Samuel Gillespie Richardson (1822–1890) and Martha S (Cardwell) Richardson (1834–1866).

He was married 1st in early 1876 to Nancy Savage Moreland (1855–ca 1881), and she was the daughter of James A Moreland (ca 1822– ) and his wife Elizabeth ( -- ) Moreland (ca 1827– ). Isaac was married 2nd about 1881 to Nancy Elizabeth "Nannie" Davenport (1866–1931).

A farmer out of Nashville on Rural Route 1, he was 77 years old and a widower when he died at home of bronchopneumonia on July 27, 1935. Burial was the same day in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
