Charles Edward Richardson was born on August 8, 1903 in Gainesboro, Jackson County, Tennessee, the son of Isaac Wiser Richardson (1858–1935) and his 2nd wife Nancy Elizabeth "Nannie" (Davenport) Richardson (1866–1931).
He was married on April 23, 1932 as the 3rd husband of Julia Blackman Harding (ca Feb 1897–May 1976), the daughter of William Blackman Harding (1867–1931) and Mattie Sophia (Hall) Harding (1869–1926).
Living at 2226 Scott Avenue in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, Charles was 73 years old and married when he died on September 25, 1976 at a local infirmary. {Although his obituary lists him as married when he died in September 1976, his wife Julia had died in May 1976!}
Survivors included his widow Mrs Julia Harding Richardson, son Charles Evan Richardson and half-brother Leander Richardson, all in Nashville, sisters Mrs Clio Richardson Phillips and Floy Richardson of Whites Creek, Tennessee and Mrs Cloy Blaydes at Akron, Ohio, half-sisters Mrs Annie Dixon and Mrs Emma McCoin in Nashville and two grandsons.
Funeral Services were held on September 27th at Phillips-Robinson Company Funeral Home, and burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville.
