Leonard O. Bachman, 89, of Coffeyville passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 26, 1927 at Wann, Oklahoma to Arthur and Frieda (Meyer) Bachman. He completed his education, graduating from Field Kindley Memorial High School at Coffeyville in 1944.

On June 4, 1950 he married Irene A. Raasch at Coffeyville. Following their marriage they made their home in Coffeyville.

Mr. Bachman worked as a patternmaker for Jensen and Jencast, where he retired from in May 1987.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Men's Club. At St. Paul's he served as a Trustee, church elder, Sunday School Superintendant and served on the Building Committee. He and Irene enjoyed dancing with the CRC Square Dance Club.

Mr. Bachman enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, crossword puzzles, farming and sports.

Survivors include one son, Ronald Bachman and wife Marlene of Coffeyville, KS; two daughters, Linda Cook and husband Dan of rural South Coffeyville, OK, and Carol Wehmeyer and husband Gerald of rural Coffeyville, KS; and five grandchildren, Brian Bachman and wife, Meagan, Mark Bachman, Chad Cook, Melissa Woollard and husband, Ryan, and Brent Wehmeyer and wife, Tiffany; great grandchildren, Caden Woollard and Sadie Woollard. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Coffeyville with Rev. Richard Peckman officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
