Theresa Rose Schwan, was born on December 21 1931 in Havre,Montana. Her father was Anton and Juliana (Schwan) Schwan. Theresa's Grandfather Jacob Schwan on her mothers side and Grandfather Paul Schwan on her fathers side were brothers. Making her maiden name and married name the same Schwan. She had 14 siblings 7 brothers and 7 sisters. They lived and worked on a farm outside of Havre, by the Milk River. She married Luverene Houim on October 17 1953 in Havre. They were a family with 4 children, Linda Louise, Josie Rose, Dean Allan and Theresa Marie. All born in Havre. In 1965 they moved to Spokane,Washington. She was a stay at home mom, and really enjoyed the holidays. She dressed up for Halloween, and loved to see her grand kids in their costumes. Theresa loved to cook all the fixings for Thanksgiving, usually making way to much food, but meant leftovers for all. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She always had lots of gifts for everyone under the tree. She and Luverene would spend time at the Brown Derby Tavern. She would cheer on the Seattle Seahawks. She died on October 12 2004 in Spokane, and buried at Holy Cross Cemetery.
