Clara Larson, 85, was born June 25, 1906, in Canby, Minnesota, to Bernard and Anna (Staebler) Boyer. She married Loyd Larson October 21, 1925, in Wadena, Minnesota, and lived in southern Minnesota until moving to St. Cloud, Minnesota, in 1944 where she was employed as a cook by St. Paul’s Catholic School and at area restaurants for many years. The couple operated Larson Resort near Cold Spring, Minnesota from 1962 until their retirement in 1970. She entered the Assumption Nursing Home in Cold Spring in 1990.
Survivors include daughters and sons, Annette Nawara, Minneapolis; Marilyn Spoden and James, Cold Spring; Arlene Morris, Kathy Meyer, Richard and Jerry, St. Cloud; Roger and Tom, Coon Rapids, Minnesota; John “Bill,” Cannon Falls, Minnesota, Judy Laughton, Crosby, Minnesota; Edward, Morris, Minnesota; brothers, Gregory, Pasadena, Calif.; Raymond, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; 45 grandchildren; and 48 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 11, 1975, three sisters, four brothers, three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
