James William McCracken, son of the late, William and Ellen (Armstrong) McCracken, was born 7 July 1878, Shoal Creek Township, he married 6 August 1905, Donnellson, Bond county Illinois, Ruby J. Jett, who with three sons Dwight and Orin McCracken of Donnellson, and Melvin McCracken of Birmingham, Michigan, and six Grand-children survive, he is also survived by three brothers, H. A. McCracken of Emporia, Kansas, and C. R. McCracken of Greenville, and two sisters, Mrs. Elvia Travis, of Greenville and Mrs. C. S. Lohman of Reno, two brothers preceded him in death.
