Fernand Cormier, age 85, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family at the Bella Senior Centre in Niagara Falls, Ontario, on Sunday, November 29, 2015.

Born in Saint- Léonard-Parent, New Brunswick, Canada, Fern was a son of the late Alfred and Clarina (Ouellette) Cormier; the loving husband of Marguérite; the beloved dad of 4 children — Mary (Cormier) Doucette, Rita Cormier, Diane (Cormier) Roussel, and Michael Cormier; and a cherished grandfather to his 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was also the dear brother of Gérard 'Gerry' Cormier and Donat 'Don' Cormier, both of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and several other siblings in New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement, Fern was employed at Cyanamid of Niagara Falls for over 40 years.

The family received friends and relatives at the Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel on Tuesday morning, December 1, 2015 from 10 to 11:45, followed by a noontime funeral mass at Saint Patrick's Church; and after his cremation, Fern was interred at Fairview Cemetery.
