Cpl. U. S. Army -- World War II VeteranJack was the oldest of seven children born to Raymond Richard and Lydia (Huffman) Moose. He married Lona Mae Lawing in 1934 and they had six children: Nancy Jane, Kay Frances, Betty Anne, Raymond Richard, Jack Woodrow Jr. and John Edwin.

MAIDEN - Mr. Jack Woodrow Moose 77, Postal Service retiree, died June 2, 1991, at Catawba Memorial Hospital, Hickory. Funeral is 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Grace United Church of Christ, Newton. Visitation is 7 to 8:30 tonight at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home.

Survivors are his wife, Lona Mae; sons, Raymond Moose of Denver, John Moose of Gastonia, Jack Moose Jr.; daughters, Mrs. Nancy Cadieu of Midland, Mich., Mrs. Kate Goodson of Monroe, Mrs. Betty Houser of Dallas; brother, Joe Moose of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Alice Pierce of Lenoir.

Memorials may be made to the Maiden American Legion Memorial Fund, Maiden, N.C. 28650; or to Grace United Church of Christ, Newton, N.C. 28658.
