Lona Mae Moose
Lona Mae 'Toni' Moose, 87, of N.C. Lutheran Home, formerly of Maiden, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002 at Lutheran Home in Hickory.
Born June 30, 1915, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late John smith and Laura Jane Caldwell Lawing. She was a member of St. Martins Lutheran Church in Maiden, and was a retired seamstress of Rex Knitting Mills.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Woodrow Moose.
Survivors include: three sons, Raymond R. Moose of Hickory, Jack W. Moose Jr. of Maiden, and John E. Moose of Gastonia; three daughters: Nancy M. Cadieu of Newton, Kay M. Goodson of Monroe, and Betty M. Houser of Dallas; a sister, Anna Stamey of Kings Mountain; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and a step great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on friday, Nov. 29, 2002 in the Goodin-Drum Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. John Lingle will officiate, and burial will follow in Maiden City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to St. Martins Lutheran Church, Maiden.
