He was born in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Jack Woodrow Moose, Sr. and the late Lona Mae Lawing Moose.

Jackie was a member of St. Martins Lutheran Church in Maiden. He loved God and working and helping in the church. He was a recreational football and baseball coach for 20 plus years in the town of Maiden. He enjoyed family get-togethers and especially loved his grandchildren. Jackie was also a Maiden High Athletic Booster for many years and substituted in the Maiden feeder system. He was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew him.

In addition to his parents, brother, Raymond Moose and 2 sisters, Nancy Cadieu and Kay Goodson preceded him in death.

Sister: Betty Houser of Dallas and numerous nieces and nephews
