Brick maker Percy W. Hartford, 23, and Flora Dell McConvey, 21, both of St. Stephen, were married there on March 6, 1907.

In the 1900 U.S. Census, brick maker Winslow Hartford, 39, born May, 1861 in Canada, parents born Canada, was living in Calais, Maine, with Margaret, 37, born December, 1863 in Canada, parents born Canada; brickmaker Percy, 17, born July, 1883; Pearl, 15, born February, 1885;spinner in cotton mille Mabel, 14, born February, 1886; Ada, 12, born May, 1888; Mary 9, born August, 1890; Millie 7, born Mary, 1893; and Elizabeth, 3, born June, 1897, all born in Canada; and William, 10 month, born July in Maine.
The couple had been married for 18 years, and all eight of Margaret's children were still living.
The family had moved to the U.S. in 1897
