AUDREY H. BURKART
Audrey H. Burkart, age 92, a resident of Laurel Grove Assisted Living, Manitowoc, died Friday morning, September 9, 2016 at Laurel Grove.
She was born on August 5, 1924 in Alverno, daughter of the late Henry and Wanda (Stefaniak) Junk. Audrey was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1942. On October 23, 1945 she married Robert Burkart in San Francisco, CA. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1977. Audrey was employed as a payroll clerk at Burger Boat until her retirement in 1986. She was a member and past treasurer of the Daughters of Isabella. Audrey enjoyed playing cribbage, sheepshead, gardening and bowling.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Joyce Repenn, Two Rivers, Mary & Glenn Haese, Manitowoc; one son: James Burkart, Manitowoc; four grandchildren: Kim Rasmussen, Scott Rasmussen, Ted & Matthew Burkart; two great grandchildren: Dana & Meagan Green; one step grandchild: Kendy Haese; three step great grandchildren; one sister: Dorothy Dondlinger, Manitowoc; and two brothers and one sister-in-law: Valarian Junk, Cato and Kenneth & Jeannette Junk, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law: Gene Repenn; one grandson: Mark Repenn; one step great grandson: Kristopher Haese; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Ervin & Annette Junk, Donald Junk; one sister and brother-in-law: Geraldine & Fred Behnke; and two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: Charles & Richard Burkart and Mayme Junk.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Avenue) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand (1416 Grand Avenue) Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016 until 10:45 a.m.
