Edith Marsee, 103, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday October 25, 2015 at Christian Care Center in Lancaster. She was preceded in death by her husband John(J.W.) Marsee. Edith was born October 23, 1912 in Stockton, Kansas to the late Thomas and Betty Jane Turnbull Tuttle.

She was a homemaker, a dedicated member of Garrard County Hospital Auxiliary for many years, and a Faithful, devoted member of First Presbyterian Church of Lancaster. Edith was a wonderful cook, but her passion and love was for her family. She was a wonderful mother.

Surviving is a son John Wayne Marsee(Karen) of Lancaster; two daughters Ann Clark(George) of Maryland and Elizabeth Mohr of Virginia. Also surviving are six grandchildren,10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. Edith was preceded in death by six sisters Mae Jones Dillion, Cecil Sharp, Leota Sheetinger, Edna Moore, Pauline Stigall, and Winnifred Shearin. She was also preceded in death by a sister- in- law Anna Kay Rich.

A memorial service will be held 11 AM Friday November 6, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church of Lancaster with Rev. Michael Denney officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 AM until time of the service.

Burial will be private in Lancaster Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to First Presbyterian Church of Lancaster, or any charity in honor of Edith Marsee.
