Mrs. Anna McCann, 81, of 511 North 19th Street, East St. Louis, died at 6 p.m. Sunday at Christian Welfare Hospital, East St. Louis, where she had been a patient for a week.
She was born in Belleville on December 6, 1887, and her parents were the late George and Anna Gantner, nee Lill.
Surviving are her husband, Alva E. McCann; and three sisters, Miss Emma Gantner and Mrs. Lena Baquet, both of 612 Bristow Street, Belleville; and Mrs. Josie Fisher, St. Louis.
Mrs. McCann was a member of First Presbyterian Church, East St. Louis; Queen City Chapter 697, Order of Eastern Star; and Daughters of the Nile.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday from the Kurrus Funeral Home, East St. Louis, to Valhalla burial Park. The Rev. Arthur B. Smith, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, East St. Louis, will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
