Sallie Ann Nettles was the twelfth child born to Christopher Columbus Nettles and Mary Frances Todd, she was born November 7, 1873 in Elizabeth City County, Virginia. Sallie married first Elisha G. Darden, son of Joseph Darden and Mary Sarah Watson, on February 11, 1902 in Newport News, Virginia. Elisha was born on September 15, 1839 in Murfreesboro, North Carolina. Sallie married Milo Madison Begor, son of Solon Begor and Matilda Bradshaw, on September 24, 1925 in Newport News, Virginia. Milo was born on June 6, 1873 in Ellenburg, Clinton County, New York. Sallie was admitted to the Eastern State Hospital at the end of 1952 she died there on March 11, 1959. She was buried in an unmarked grave near her parents in the Oakland Cemetery in Hampton, Virginia on March 14, 1959.
