Gordon Briscoe Lee, age 93, formerly of Front Royal VA, passed away at his home in Manassas VA on April 11, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eleanor Lee; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert G and Brenda Lee of Chester Gap VA; a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Thomas Davies of Dumfries VA; 6 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Lee was born on Feb 14, 1924 in Mitchells VA and raised in Fauquier County. He graduated from Calverton High School and Manassas Technical School. He served in the US Army in the Pacific Theatre during World War II, including the battles of New Guinea, Bismark, Luzon, and Liberation of South Philippines. He and his wife, Eleanor, lived in Manassas for 40 years, before retiring as an electrical maintenance engineer from St Benedictine Convent in Bristow VA. A funeral service was held on Tues, April 18, 2017 at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Manassas VA. Interment followed at Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas VA.
