Mary Pearl Richardson of Sigourney and formerly of Packwood, died Monday, May 29,2017 at the Manor House in Sigourney, Iowa at the age of 96 years, 2 months, and 24 days. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont, with the Rev. Bill Hornback officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Center Cemetery in Packwood, Iowa. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the start of the service Saturday at the funeral chapel.

Mrs. Richardson was born March 5, 1921 in Linby, Iowa to Alonzo and Maggie Linder Brown. She graduated from Packwood High School. Mary was united in marriage to Harley Earl Richardson on June 1, 1941, in Lancaster, Missouri. Following her marriage, she worked at Dickey's Prairie Home Restaurant for 41 years. Mary was a member of the Linby Baptist Church and the Zephyr Club of Linby.

Survivors include sister Margaret McQueen of San Diego, California; her nieces: Terry (& John) Collett of Pinellas Park, Florida, Angela (& Michael) Brown-Baetsle of Hedrick, Iowa, Tricia Meier (& Troy Hawley) of Hedrick, Iowa, Evelyn (& Mike) Brandish and family of La Nesta, California and Pat Brown of Grassland, California; her nephews: Verle (& Brenda) McQueen and family of Stafford, Virginia and Jim (& Kathy) Brown and family of Hawaii; her great nephews: Jason (& Michelle) Collett of Tega City, South Carolina and Brandon (& Lisa) Collett of Pulaski, Wisconsin; her great nieces: Kristen Meeker (& Brad Payne) of Ottumwa, Iowa, Clair Meier (& Patrick Campbell) of Oskaloosa, Iowa and Anne Meier of Hedrick, Iowa; step great nephews: Joel Baetsle (& Amber McCaw) of Victor, Iowa, Trent Meier (& Tianna Deppe)of Ottumwa, Iowa, Tyler Meier of Hawaii and Garrett and Caden Campbell; step great niece: Aubrey Campbell; great great nephews: Nathan Collett and Gavin, Carter, Logan, Aiden and Zander Collett; and great great nieces: Alexandria and Samantha Collett and Kenadi Campbell; step great great nephew Kaden Baetsle; step grandsons: Rick Richardson and family of Hedrick and Ronnie Richardson and family of Oskaloosa; a step granddaughter: Mary Lou (& Jim) Hornback and family of Oskaloosa; and many other nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two siblings in infancy; sister Florence Boulger, and brothers Harold, William, James, Chester and Thomas Brown; infant great nephew John Earl Collett II; infant great niece Mikkala Renee Meeker; and stepson Rich Richardson.
