Claribel Lee Benson, 92, of Olney, died at 6:15 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2006, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Mrs. BenSon was born Feb. 3, 1914 in Clay County, the daughter of Chester and Addie (PETTIJOHN) LEE. She married Gerald Benson on June 30, 1944 in Olney. He preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 2000.

She was a retired school teacher, and a member of First United Methodist Church in Olney, and the NFSA class, PEO, and Retired Teacher's Association.

Survivors include two daughters, Anne FRANKLIN of Olney, and Linda BENSON of Springfield; one son-in-law, Rick FRANKLIN of Olney; one sister, Louise BEAN of Findlay, Ohio; three grandchildren, Michelle BRINGAS and husband Steve of Chicago, Chris FRANKLIN and wife Heather of Pheonix, Ariz., and Brock FRANKLIN of Chicago; and one great-granddaughter, Brenna FRANKLIN.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, and two brothers, J. Robert LEE and C. Ronald LEE.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 8, at First United Methodist Church in Olney, with the Rev. Scott CARLSON officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Olney.
