Linda Pearl (Lehner) Huttunen age 87 a resident of the Elders Home, New York Mills MN, went to her heavenly home on October 12, 2017.

Linda was born on February 2, 1930, in Sebeka Minnesota to Gottlieb and Clara (Huebner) Lehner. Linda was baptized in the Lutheran faith and was confirmed at the Nimrod Hall in 1945; this congregation is now known as the Nimrod Lutheran Church. For the past 70+ years she has been a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Sebeka.

Linda graduated from Sebeka Public School in 1949 and joined the workforce, working at Peterson Biddick in Sebeka, one year at Munsingwear in Little Falls MN, and on April 11, 1953, she married David Huttunen and moved to the Huttunen family farm located in Blowers Township, Ottertail County. There she worked hard as a homemaker raising 6 children and babysitting for many grandchildren over the years. Linda and David retired from the farm and moved to Sebeka in 2000. After David’s passing in 2002 Linda moved to the Riverview Apartments and spent many nights’ playing cards and sharing treats with the other residents. As time went on she moved to the Heritage House (assisted living) in Sebeka and a few years later moved to the Elder’s Nursing Home in New York Mills MN.

Linda was a Sunday School Teacher at Grace Lutheran Church for 20+ years and a member of the Priscilla Guild. She was a 4-H leader with the Rockwood / Blowers 4-H club, member of the Merry Maker’s Homemaker Group, and member of the Sebeka American Legion Auxiliary.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by: Children, Delbert (Lanet) Huttunen – Pembina ND, Julie (Tom) Gilstad – Maple Grove, Kevin Huttunen – Sebeka , Steven (Angela) Huttunen – Wadena , Rodney (Laureen) Huttunen - Sebeka, Jamie (Yvonne) Huttunen – Wadena; Grandchildren, Allen (Kelsey), Chris, Reid (Kelsey), Peter, Cody, Lindsey, Dylan (Brooklyn), Courtney, Anna, Devon, Dominick, Scott, one great granddaughter Avery; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband David, parents 6 sisters and 4 brothers.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM Sunday, October 15, 2017 Wevley Funeral Home with Prayer Service at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 16, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church in Sebeka, MN. Interment will be at Haycreek Cemetery.
