Gust Kilhstadius 1902-1987

Gust A. Kilhstadius, 84, of Clearbrook died Sunday at the Clearwater County Memorial Hospital in Bagley.
Funeral services were Wednesday at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clearbrook with the Rev. Paul Knutson officiating. Interment was in the Augustana Lutheran Cemetery in Clearbrook.
He was born October 12, 1902, at Clearbrook, the son of Karl and Ingeborg Kilhstadius, He was raised in the Clearbrook area and worked as a farmer. He married Ruth Johnson May 29, 1928 at Finley, North Dakota. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and served on the Eddy Township Board. In 1966, he moved into Clearbrook where he was active in the Clearbrook Senior Citizens.
He is survived by two daughters, Jackie (Mrs. Leo) Froehlich of Devils Lake, North Dakota, JoAnn (Mrs. Harris) Hanson of Hallock; three sons, Gust Jr., of Brigham City, Utah, Arthur of Bemidji and Richard of San Francisco, California; two brothers, Alvin of Fosston and Melvin of Willamina, Oregon; three sisters, Hilma Lundin of Salem, Oregon, Agda McKownen of Sacramento, California, and Ella Steenerson of Clearbrook; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1984, two brothers, five sisters and one great grandchild.
