Angels carried Joyce A. Ross, 82, of Chillicothe to her heavenly home at 5:35 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2017, at National Church Residence unexpectedly.

She was born July 25, 1935 in Johnson County, Kentucky to Newton and Mary West Trimble.

She graduated from Blaine High School, Blaine, Kentucky in 1954. and Mayo Vocational Business School in Paintsville, Kentucky in 1955.

Surviving are a daughter, of Chillicothe; a granddaughter; several nieces and nephews; a sister, of Morehead, KY and a sister-in-law, of Chillicothe. She was predeceased by her former husband, Billy M. Ross; her father, Newton Trimble; mother and stepfather, Mary and Luther Gartin; her twin sister, Doris Jean Ball and brothers, Leon, Nevin, and Donald Trimble.

Joyce was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. She was a member of Chillicothe Baptist Church for over 50 years where she served in many capacities wherever she was needed. She loved to fish and spend time with family.

Funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the WARE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Tim Cline officiating. Burial will follow in Rowland Cemetery. Friends may call at the WARE FUNERAL HOME from 10 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.
