Elma Carol Trimble Williams, 79, of Morehead, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.



Born November 19, 1942, in Johnson County, Carol was a daughter of the late Newton and Mary West Trimble. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Ball and Joyce Ross.



Carol is survived by her husband of 57 years, Homer Proctor Williams, whom she married May 1, 1965; four nieces, Anita Hammond, Sheila Gilley, and Renee Williamson, all of Lexington, and Donna Russell of Chillicothe, Ohio, and other extended family and friends.



Carol graduated from Blaine High School in Lawrence County and earned her Master's Degree in elementary education from Morehead State University. She was of the Baptist faith.



Carol was an educator for many years and had a passion for teaching. She taught fourth grade at Hillsboro Elementary School for 27 years. Carol enjoyed traveling all over the United Stated and to foreign countries with her husband. She was an avid reader and loved flower and vegetable gardening and spending time on Cave Run Lake on their pontoon boat. However, most of all she cherished time spent with her husband Homer.



A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Brother Gerald Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.



Pallbearers will be friends and former students.



Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2022, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, KY 40351.
