Wardie A. Shrewsbury, 94, of Princeton, died Thursday, 4 Mar 2010 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born 28 Jun 1915 at Dott, he was the son of the late Samuel Washington Shrewsbury and Birdie Basham Shrewsbury.
Mr. Shrewsbury was a retired coal miner and member of U.M.W.A. He attended Ashworth Baptist Church in Princeton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Carol Graham; and one granddaughter, Angie Graham; three brothers, Hassel Shrewsbury, Roy Shrewsbury and Cledith Shrewsbury; four sisters, Goldie Sonak, Amanda Akers, Elsie Cook and Maudie McKinney.

Survivors include three daughters, four sons, two sisters, 16 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services Monday, 8 Mar 2010 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton. Interment will be at the Bowling Cemetery at Spanishburg.

Wardie was married three times Wilma Irene Moye, they had two daughters. Gladys Pittman no children, and Shirley A Rethford they had 6 children.
