Graveside services for Helen Parker Daves of Winona will be immediately following the visitation on Tuesday, August 7 in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home on Tuesday, Aug. 7. Rev. T.R. Darsey and Rev. Jay Anderson will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Jason Daves, John Michael VanHorn, Lee VanHorn, Mike Parker, Sonny Blake, and Billy Daves.
Helen Parker Daves, 91, passed away at her home in Winona on Sunday, August 5, 2018. She was born to Tillman Andrew and Allie Ella Blaylock Parker on November 8, 1926. She was a retired co-owner of Daves Furniture and Cable Company and a member of First Baptist Church in Winona.
Mrs. Daves is survived by her daughter, Christye VanHorn, and husband John Wayne of Winona; her son, David Earl Daves, and wife Kaye of Winona; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mallie Earl Daves, Jr.; 3 sisters, Estelle Blackwelder, Lela Mae Austin, and Gladys Allison; and 2 brothers Leon and Denmond
Parker.
