Nina retired from RCA after 30 years in the inspection/white room department. She loved cooking and was known as “The Betty Crocker”. She never met a stranger and had become a “second mom” to many children. Nina attended Grace Community Church and, most recently, Fairmount Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Ronald) Hoover, Gas City; granddaughter, Jodi L. Hoover, Arcanum, Ohio; god-grandchild, Kelli B. McGuffey, Avon; and sisters, Joy Pingleton, Berea, Kentucky, and Sandra McCollum, Farmington, Minnesota.
She was also preceded in death by nine siblings.
The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with Nina’s funeral service beginning at 12 noon on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN. Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger will be officiating with burial following at Marion National Cemetery.
