MRS. POPE VAUGHN DEAD
Mrs. Pope Vaughn died at the home in Shelbina Tuesday, December 8, after a short illness. Funeral services were held at the Christian church this morning at 11 o'clock, the services being conducted by the Rev. S. M. Kuntz.
Eva Albertina Wililams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Williams, was born July 18, 1852, near Old Clinton, now known as North Fork, south of Lakenan. She married Fielding Pope Vaughn, October 9, 1869, and joined the Christian church the same year. To this home came three sons and three daughters. The husband, one son and a daughter preceded her in death. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn also raised Loren C. Taylor, who was taken from the Orphan's Home in St. Louis. One son, Albert Lee. lives at Rocky Ford, Col. A daughter, Mattie May Gardner, lived in San Francisco, and Pattie E. lived at the home/ The children were all present for her funeral. Also the colored nurse, who was with the family during the Civil War, was with Mrs. Vaughn during her sickness.

SHELBINA WOMAN DIED YESTERDAY
Mrs. Pope Vaughn died at her home in Shelbina yesterday morning at the age of 73. Mrs. Vaughn was formerly Eva Albertina Williams and was born near Old Clinton, Mo. She was married to Pope Vaughn, October 9, 1869, and they lived on a farm south of Lentner for a number of years. Six children were born to this union, two of whom preceded their mother to the grave. Mr. Vaughn also died a few years ago. Four children survive. They are: Robert Lee Vaughn of Hunnewell, J. C. of Rocky Ford,Colo., Mrs. Mattie Gardner of San Francisco, Calif., and Miss Pattie who lived with her mother.
She was a member of the North Ford Christian church near Lakenan.
Funeral services will be held this morning at the Christian church in Shelbina, conducted by Rev. Kuntz.

AGED WOMAN OF SHELBINA DIES
Mrs. Eva A. Vaughn. 70, died at her home in Shelbina, Tuesday morning, at 2 a. m. She was the widow of F. P. Vaughn who died at their farm home, four miles south of Lakenan over twenty years ago.
For several years Mrs. Vaughn and her daughter Pattie have lived in their Shelbina home. She leaves two sons, Albert Vaughn of Hunnewell, Shelby county, Missouri, J. C. Vaughn of Rockyford, Colorado, Mrs. Mattie Gardner of San Francisco, Calif., and Miss Pattie Vaughn at the Shelbina home. Mrs. Vaughn was almost a lifelong member of the Christian church, and her funeral will be conducted at the Shelbina Christian church Wednesday at 11 a. m. by Rev. S. H. Kuntz, pastor, with burial at Shelbina cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Williams and Mrs. John Hardy went to Shelbina Wednesday to attend the funeral of Mr. Williams
sister, Mrs. Eva Vaughn, who passed away early Tuesday morning. Mrs. Vaughn had not been well for sometime but was confined to the bed only about ten days. She was born in Monroe County, near Old Clinton about seventy-three years ago and spent the greater part of her life in that community until about twenty years ago when she located in Shelbina. The family lived in Paris and in Monroe City for a while when the children were attending high school. Her husband, Fielding Vaughn, passed away about twenty five years ago. She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Miss Pattie Vaughn, who lived with her mother, Mrs. Mattie Gardner, of Idaho, John Vaughn of Rocky Ford, Colorado. and Albert Vaughn of Hunnewell. She also leaves a sister and a brother, Mrs. Laura B. Hall, of Weston and E. W. Williams, of Monroe City. The funeral was held in Shelbina Wednesday morning at ten o'clock at the Christian church.
