Elizabeth Brown Baccus was born ca 1800 in Georgia, died ca 1852 in Texas. By 1860 her husband Enoch Baccus was Married to Martha LNU born ca. 1795 Ohio.

There is a family letter written in 1820 that Elizabeth Brown had had an illigitimate child and was living with her sister Nancy who was a widow.

The wonder of DNA testing and we know today that child to be William Henry Brown born Oct 21, 1819. William was raised in Mercer County, Kentucky, USA where he believed was his birth place.

There is no child of this age in the US Census for 1830 in the household of Enoch Baccus.

Elizabeth and Enoch married May 29, 1823 in Greene County, Illinois surrounded by the Brown Family.

Enoch met Elizabeth most likely at a church meeting held in the household of her uncle Jehu Brown. This is Elizabeth's uncle, her dad Griffiths brother. Jehu was the first to organize the Baptist church in his own home.

The 1840 census shows Elizabeth and Enoch living in Lamar, Texas, USA. The children in this memorial are all born from the marriage of Elizabeth and Enoch Baccus.
