Tabitha Green was a daughter of Alfred Green & Louisa C. Wiggins, born in Christian County, Missouri. Tabitha had a twin sister Talitha "Litha" A. Green, as well as ten other siblings and a half sibling.

Tabitha was married to Virgil Eugene Rathbone on June 15, 1890, in Christian County, Missouri.
This union produced three surviving children together, two daughters and a son.
Children: Lois Veta Rathbone McEachern, Merton Theron Rathbone & LaPrella Atmryl Weatherford. They also had numerous others who were born and died in infancy, names unknown.
After marriage Tabitha & Virgil seemed to have relocated to South Dakota for a brief time, possibly staying a couple of years, before moving down to Texas in the 1890's. First they lived in Tyler County, then into Sabine County.
She was laid to rest at Jacks Cemetery, her son Merton was later laid to rest next to her.
