Talitha Green was a daughter of Alfred Green and Louisa C. Wiggins.

She had eleven siblings as well as one half sibling. She was a twin of Tabitha "Bitha" L. Green.

Talitha married Merton J. Smith on May 22, 1892 in Sparta, Christian County, Missouri.

They had two children together.

Merton and Talitha went west to Texas in the late 1890's, first to Polk County for a brief time, then to Port Arthur, Jefferson County.

NOTE: Her headstone reads G. as a middle initial, this is incorrect, her middle initial was A. Her marriage record states A. as well as the 1876 Agr. Census. I have never seen it listed as G., maybe it stands for her Surname Green.
Also her headstone reads 1873 as a birth year, but she was born in the last week of 1872.
