"Nannie" was the daughter of Hardy
and Cynthia Ellen (Pitts) Dean.

She was the sister of four Confederate soldiers: Aaron and Joseph were both killed in Franklin, Tennessee during the strife against Union forces (1864).
Thomas J. was captured the same year. William H. also served.

Gravesite Details

"Nannie" never married and lived with her parents until their deaths. In her final years, she was an inmate at the State Insane Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.
