Obituary Maxine Lord, 81 TEMECULA -- Maxine Lord passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010. Born and raised in Fort Collins, Colo., Maxine and Phil, her husband of 46 years, raised their three children in Orange County and retired in Temecula. Maxine was predeceased by her dear husband, Phil and her cherished son, Ted. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy King (Roger); her son, Tim Lord (Margaret); son, Ted's widow, Lisa; and adopted children, Monica van der Leer and Ken Doan. Her legacy is left with her three adored grandchildren, Philip, Kyle and Emily. She leaves her sister, Mildred and brother Bob, as well as many nieces, nephews and Godchildren. Maxine was a gifted painter and decorator who loved entertaining, cooking, and sharing fine wine and laughter. We will remember her generous spirit and loving soul. Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 20, at Berry Bell and Hall Mortuary, Fallbrook. Donations: The Marin Cancer Institute, UCSF Brain Tumor Research Dept., or the charity of your choice. Published by North County Times on Feb. 14, 2010.
