Fred Achziger, 64, a Fort Collins resident for 35 years, died Friday afternoon at the Larimer County Hospital. Mr. Achziger, a four-year employe of the city street department was injured at work last Nov. 14 and entered the hospital the next day. Later other ailments were discovered which caused his death. Mr. Achziger, born Aug. 19, 1894, had lived in Colorado 49 years. He married the former Katherine Deines at Greeley Dec. 28, 1916. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Besides his widow, he is survived by seven children, 10 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Alex Rutt of Loveland. The children are Mrs. Rachel Doremus of Niles, Calif., Mrs. Selma Schramm of Fremont, Calif., Mrs. Mildred Crawford of Fort Collins, Donald F. and Richard D. Achziger of Long Beach, Calif. and Robert G. Achziger of the Navy. The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday at St. John's Church by the Rev. John F. Henning. Burial will be at Grandview cemetery, with arrangements by the Warren Funeral Chapel.
