DEATH OF MRS. DONALD CAMERON.
We regret to record the death of Mrs. Donald Cameron, which took place on the 22nd inst. at Nurse Tchan's private hospital, Palmerston-street. The deceased lady was well-known in the journalistic profession both in this colony and New South Wales. Prior to her arrival in Western Australia a few years ago, she held journalistic positions in Sydney for several years, and was also the author of a number of pleasantly written short stories which appeared in the Australian Press. Not long after her arrival in this colony she accepted the position of social editress on the Morning Herald, which she held up to the time of her death, and she was likewise a contributor on social topics to several other local journals. About a fortnight ago Mrs. Cameron was attacked with influenza, and later on inflammation of the stomach and congestion of the liver supervened. By the advice of her medical attendant she was removed to Nurse Tchan's hospital, where she received every attention. Despite this, she became worse, and expired, leaving behind her one son, Mr. L. D. Cameron. Her husband predeceased her several years ago.
