Daivy Sevier, daughter of Catherine (Ferguson) and Lewis Russell, was born June 10, 1920, in Gravity. Daivy graduated from high school in Julesburg, Colo., in 1940. On May 10, 1942, Daivy married Delbert "By Hen" Sevier in Maryville, Mo. Daivy was a homemaker and worked eight years at Mount Ayr Cap Factory. Daivy was a member of Mount Ayr United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Doris (husband Dale) Walters of Mount Ayr; four grandchildren, Tammy (husband Tom) Walk of Greenfield, Scott Walters of Mount Ayr, Clint (wife Kris Tina) Walters of Osceola and Cindy (husband Malcolm) McGee of San Antonio, Texas; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Juanita Laird of Beaconsfield.
Daivy was preceded in death by her parents, husband on Feb. 22, 1995, six brothers, three sisters, two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.
