CALDWELL — Services for Earl Robert Russell, 50, of 1324 Everett, who died Wednesday morning at a Caldwell Hospital after an apparent heart attack, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Steve Burris of the First Christian Church, Mount Moriah Lodge No. 39, AF&AM, will conduct interment rites at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Russell was born March 15, 1925, in Beaconsfield, Iowa, and was reared in Julesburg, Colo. He married Celestia McQueen Sept. 15, 1951, in Fort Morgan, Colo., and they first came to Caldwell in 1956. They since lived in Colorado and Idaho, and had lived in Caldwell for the past nine years. He was a field representative for Allied Seed Co.
He was a member of the First Christian Church, Logan Lodge No. 70, AF&AM, of Julesburg, was a past high priest of Royal Arch Masons, was worthy patron of Hermosa Chapter No. 32, Order of Eastern Star, and associate guardian of Bethel No. 38, International Order of Job's daughters, both of Caldwell.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Russell are three children, Dave Earl, Celestia Ann, and Tammy Jo, all at home; three brothers, Carl, Beatrice, Neb., Paul, Parma, and Judd, Julesburg, and four sisters, Mrs. Clara Freeman, Denver, Mrs. Jacqueline Sheldrew, Chicago, Mrs. Daivy Dean Seiver, Mount Ayr, Iowa, and Mrs. Kathryn Abts, Big Springs, Neb. He was preceded in death by two bothers.
Friends may call at the chapel until 9 p.m. today. Memorials may be given to the heart fund or the Shriner's hospitals for Crippled Children.
