Services for Mrs. Katherine Hammond Blanton, 81, of Kosciusko, were held Sunday, Oct. 20 at 3:30 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel in Kosciusko with the Rev. Johnny Parks and the Rev. Sam U. Ray officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona.

Mrs. Blanton, a native of Kilmichael and former resident of Winona, died of congestive heart failure Saturday, October 19. 1996 at Attala Nursing Center. The former Biloxi resident was a retired bookkeeper. She was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Kosciusko.

She is survived by her husband, C. Frank Blanton of Kosciusko; two brothers, Robert Hammond of Winona and James Hammond of Houston, Texas; a sister, Louise Johnson of Winona; one step daughter, Beverly Adams of Biloxi and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Tony Pettit, Bobby Jolly, Arthur Lewis, Eugene Chennault, Anthony Cannata and Paul Cook.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital
