Harold Lee Kirkwood, 57, of seattle, wash., a former resident of decatur, died at 1:30 a.m. today in Group Health General Hospital, Seattle.
Mr. Kirkwood, formerly on the maintenance staff of the Herald and review, left Decatur in 1942 to work for the Washington CoOp in Seattle. In 1947 he became a salesman for the Lamson Corp. in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
Mr. Kirkwood was born May 2, 1902 in Decatur and attended Decatur schools.
He leaves his wife Erva; a son, James of Seattle; daughter Nancy in Alaska; three brothers, Roy of Champaign, Eugene of Aberdeen, Wash, and Charles of Decatur; sisters, Mrs. Harriett Whennen and Mrs. Dorothy Swam of Decatur.
The body is in the Arthur Wright Funeral Home at Queen Anne Hill, Seattle. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
