Mrs. Marguerite Cook, wife of Carl Cook, died at 11:50 o'clock Thursday night at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Kirkwood, 1204 W Wood street. She was twenty-five years old last May. Her death was caused by tuberculosis and followed an illness of twelve weeks.
Mrs. Cook was born in Decatur May 15, 1899 and had lived here all her life. She was well known and had many friends. She was a member of Grace Methodist church, the l. L. B. A. Sunday school class, the woman's benefit association and Golden Crown camp, Royal Neighbors of America.
She and Carl Cook were married Dec. 28, 1920. She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Virginia Ellen Cook. She also leaves her parents, two sisters and four brothers, Harriet and Dorothy Kirkwood and Harold, Roy Eugene and Charles Kirkwood all of Decatur.
