Carolyn King Damcott, 94, of 26 Cass St., Westfield, N.Y., formerly of Sherman, N.Y., passed away July 15, 2016, at Absolut of Westfield.

She was born Nov. 27, 1921, in the town of French Creek, NY, the daughter of the late Delbert and Helen Ayers King.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sherman, where in earlier years she was active in many church activities. She had also cooked for many organizations and enjoyed quilting. She also enjoyed spending grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her three daughters: Kathryn (Ralph) Gruber, Donna (Dan) Stratton, Margaret (Barry) Wright; six sons: Lester Damcott, Kenneth (Cindy Phillips) Damcott, Byron (Pat) Damcott, Myron (Gladys) Damcott, Stuart (Bev) Damcott, David (Inta) Damcott; 29 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. She is also survived by a sister, Ava Woodworth, Chesterland, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her husband whom she married, Jan. 21, 1943. She was also preceded in death by her parens and brothers and sisters, Kenneth, Gerald, Maynard, and Carlton King, Velma Bailey, and Vivian Perkins.

Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
