Miriam Jordan Holcomb, 86, passed away on Sunday, May 02, 2021. Visitation will be Friday, May 07, 2021, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram from 6:00 p.m.—8:00 p.m. and again Saturday, May 08, 2021, at Siwell Rd. Church of Christ from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lakewood South Memorial Park in Jackson, MS. Mrs. Holcomb was born on June 27, 1934, to Everett Day and Julia Shannon Day in Tippah County, MS. She retired from the MS Department of Environmental Quality where she was employed as an executive secretary. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Riley Holcomb, Jr. She is survived by her sons, David (Marianne) Holcomb of Destin, FL, and Dewayne (Madeline) Holcomb of Cedar Park, TX; daughters, Julie (Rusty) McFarland of Friendswood, TX and Kendra (Eric) Smiley of Brandon, MS; brother, Everett Day of Paducah, KY and Robert Day of Memphis, TN; sister, Patsy Ainsworth of Dallas, TX; 16 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
