Carl Edgar Shook Jr., 66, of Taylorsville, passed away Friday, April 12, 2019 at Catawba Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Shook was born August 28, 1952 to the late Carl Edgar Shook Sr. and Anna Marie Scheck Shook. Mr. Shook was a veteran of the United States Navy and worked as a diesel mechanic for Huffman Grading.
Preceding Mr. Shook in death, in addition to his parents, are Randy Shook, Sydney Shook, Keith Shook, Danny Shook, and Suzie Taylor.
Surviving Mr. Shook is his wife, Tannya Shook; six sons, Brian Shook, Ralph Shook (Anethra), Randy Shook (Megan), Robert Shook (Kim), Nick Canipe (Tina), and Chris Canipe (Susan); three daughters, Jessie Shook (James), Trish Sandoval (Carlos), and Jenny Wimmer (Shane); two brothers, Keiser Shook (Janet) and Shawn Shook (Amanda); three sisters, Kathie Hartness, Laura Cambell, and Becky Goodwin (Patrick); 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A visitation of family and friends will be held Wednesday April 17 at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. and funeral services held at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the Shook Family Cemetery, 49 Creek End Drive, Hiddenite. Pastor Brian Kerley will be officiating the ceremonies.
