Sidney Malcomb Shook, 58 of Hiddenite, NC passed away July 24th, 2016, at Iredell Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
Sidney, was born in Bitburg, Germany, October 10th 1957. He was employed as a master carver for the former Lewittes Furniture Company. He was the son of the late Carl Edgar Shook Sr. and Anna Marie Scheck Shook.
In addition to his parents Mr. Shook was preceded in death by two brothers Randy and Keith Shook and a sister, Susie Taylor.
Survivors include four brothers; Carl Shook Jr (Tonya) of Taylorsville, Danny Shook (Phyllis) of Rural Hall, NC, Shawn Shook (Amanda) of Salisbury, NC and Keiser Shook(Janet) of Stony Point, NC along with three sisters; Kathie Hartness of Statesville, NC Laura Campbell of Hiddenite, NC Rebecca Goodwin (Patrick) of Hiddenite, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends, 4:00 until 5:00 pm, Thursday, July 28th 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will follow at 5:00 pm at Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. Tim Houser will officiate. Burial will follow at Shook Family Cemetery 49 Creeks End Lane, Hiddenite, NC 28636.
