CLIFFORD FRANKLIN-- Clifford Franklin, 76, Joplin, formerly of Nevada, died May 22, 1996, at Freeman Hospital East after a long illness. Mr. Franklin was born Sept. 16, 1919, at Mountain Grove. He moved to Joplin in November 1995 from Nevada, where he had lived for 28 years. He worked in the dietary department at Nevada Habilitation Center for 15 1/2 years and was named Employee of the year in 1977. He retired in 1982. He was a member of the Community Christain Church, Nevada. He married Maxine Wingfield on June 6, 1945, at Neosho. She survives.
Additional survivors include a brother, Rex Franklin, Neosho: and two sisters, Irene Bennett, Macomb, and Barbara Bond, Kansas City. Graveside services will be Friday, 2 p.m., at Gibson Cemetery, near Neosho. Chet Shaw, minister, will officate. Arrangements are by Mason-Woodard Mortuary, Joplin.
