Pete was born on December 6th, 1943, son of the late Willie Enoch Brinson and Nannie Florence Meece Brinson in White Lily, Somerset, Kentucky. He was a member of Rock Lick Baptist Church, he enjoyed going to Church, working in Church, Sunday School Superintendent, building committee and trustee. Pete was a truck driver, he drove for Eagle Express and Eagle Carriers, a maintenance man, supervisor and worked for Lear Siegler. He enjoyed camping, working with metal, fabrication and was a skilled builder. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Pete was survived by his wife of 59 ½ years, Joan Baker Brinson; two sons, Stephen Michael Brinson and Randall "Randy" Brinson; three grandchildren, Timothy Cooper Brinson, Raylan Cole Brinson, and Jaylin Burton; two great-grandchildren, Remi Harness and Krimsyn Harness; a special daughter-in-law, Kiki Brinson; "like a son", Nick Taylor; along with a host of friends and family to mourn his passing. Pete had may beloved nieces and nephews; to numerous to mention.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Enoch Brinson, who departed this life on January 5th, 1986 and Nannie Florence Brinson, who departed this life on March 23rd, 1973; seven brothers, Ernest "Ernie" Brinson, who departed this life on December 19th, 1981, Arnold Brinson, who departed this life on September 25th, 2014, Carvel Eugene "Todd" Brinson, who departed this life on May 19th, 1980, Leo Brinson, who departed this life on May 31st, 2011, Alonzo William "Bill" Brinson, who departed this life on November 16th, 2014, Garland Brinson, who departed this life on July 25th, 2016, and James "Starland" Brinson, who departed this life on October 23rd, 2020; and three sisters, Genie V. Brinson, who died in infancy on June 12th. 1928, Janet Brenson Woodall, departed this life on August 8th, 2021, and Margaret Brinson Hall, who departed this life on December 22nd, 2020.
Visitations were held after 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022 at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Visitations continued from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022 at the Rock Lick Baptist Church with funeral services held at 12:00 noon at the Church with Pastor Brad Gover officiating.
Burial followed in the Rock Lick Baptist Church Cemetery.
