Mrs. Margaret Catherine Greenhill Phillips, age 96, of Madison, Indiana entered this life on July 13, 1926 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the loving daughter of the late Harry P. and Irene C. Willman Greenhill. She moved to southern Indiana at a young age and remained in the area for the remainder of her life. She married John C. Phillips and from this marriage came three wonderful children. Margaret worked at Conn Organ for many years until they shut down in 1974. She then worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Kortokrax and Dr. Hamilton until her retirement in 1989. She was heavily involved in her church at Faith Alliance (24/7), and was passionate about reading her Bible daily. She also enjoyed gardening, being with her dogs, and spending time with her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. After becoming a resident at Lincoln Hills she lead a daily Bible study with her fellow residents. Margaret died on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 8:53 a.m. at the Lincoln Hills Health Care Center in New Albany, Indiana.

Margaret will be missed by her loving daughter, Janet Bowyer of Westport, Indiana; her loving sons, Michael Phillips and his wife, Deborah of Elizabethtown, Indiana, John Fred Phillips of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Kim, Angie, Doug, Elijah, and Nicole; her great-grandchildren, Tara, Brittany, Danielle, Allie, Doug, Braydon, Hannah, Tori, Casey, Tyler, Tory, Fox, Landon and Tristan; her great-great- grandchildren, Braxton, Avery, Jordan, Owen, Emily, Mason, Ryker, Cami, Easton, Brody, and Kaison; her sister, Vera Walters of Dupont, Indiana; her sisters in law, Mary Nadine Greenhill of Madison, Indiana and Betty Phillips of Madison, Indiana; her brother in law, Calvin Booth of Pleasureville, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry P. Greenhill, her mother, Irene C. Willman Greenhill, her husband , John C. Phillips, died May 2, 1997, her sister, Rita Booth, her brothers, Raymond Phillips and Charles L. Greenhill, her great great granddaughter, Amelia Herbert, and her son in law, Edward Earl Bowyer, died May 25, 2003.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens, 9306 North US 421 in Madison, Indiana.
VISITATION
Friends may visit Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
