Irene was the daughter of Edward James Willman I and Maggie Hambrick. On 09 Jun 1920 she married Parker Mellet; they did not have any children. He died in 1922 and the following year, on 08 Nov 1923, she married Harry Greenhill and they had four children: Margaret, Harry, Vera, and Charles. She and Harry divorced and by 1945 Irene was married to Raymond Phillips and they had two children together, Raymond and Rita. She was the owner and operator of Phillips' Grocery in Deputy, Indiana. Irene died of congestive heart failure at King's Daughters Hospital at the age of 72.
