Olive M. Ruckle, 99, of Berwick passed away on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at Glenbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Jan. 12, 1924, in Berwick, a daughter of the late Abraham and Alethea (Smith) Spaide.
She graduated from Nescopeck High School. Olive was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed mowing her grass, watching birds, baking and working in her flower gardens.
Olive was preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband, Fred I. Ruckle, who passed away in 1977; a sister, Beldene Pendelton; as well as six brothers: Wilbur, Duke, Leonard, Abraham Jr., Fred and Clarence Spaide.
Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1024 Market St., Berwick, with her pastor, Pastor Chad Hebrink, officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
