The death occurred in the Wagga District Hospital yesterday morning of a well-known and very highly respected resident, of the Oura district, Mrs Eliza Boyton, wife of Mr. Thomas Boyton, at the age of 69 years, after about three weeks illness following a stroke.
Mrs. Boyton was a daughter of the late Mrs. Matilda Temple of the Albury Road, and the late Mr. John Temple, of County Derry, Ireland. She arrived in Australia with her mother when a girl. She was married in Wagga to Mr. Thomas Boyton and he survives her also two sons, Messrs. Arthur Boyton and Thomas George Boyton, of Oura; and two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Annie) Corbett, of Yanco, and Mrs. Grattan (Mary) Gallagher of Wantabadagery; and eleven grand-children and one great grand son (Kenneth White), of Sydney.
She is also survived by six brothers, Messrs. William, John, Alick. Joseph, Thomas. and James Temple, of Wagga; and three sisters, Mrs. James (Sarah Jane) Stearman, of Lake Albert road; Mrs. Albert Mowsar, of Wagga and Mrs. Thomas (Matilda) Watson of Sydney.
Mrs. Boyton was of a very kind and homely disposition, and was highly respected by a wide circle of relatives and friends for her many kind and thoughtful actions. Her mother predeceased her on November 14, 1912, at the age of 69 years. The funeral is appointed to leave St. John's Church of England, Wagga, at 3 o'clock this afternoon, after a short service beginning at 2.45. o'clock for the family ground in the Church of England portion of the Wagga cemetery.
