Audra was born Jan. 26, 1920, in Johnston City, the daughter of John and Etta (Logan) Fletcher. She married Carl E. Brown on June 22, 1942, in McComb, Miss.
He preceded her in death on March 18, 1976. Audra was a beautician for 45 years and a member of the First Baptist Church in Johnston City. She was a graduate of Johnston City High School Class of 1938. Audra was a member of the and PW and a member of the Johnston City Woman's Club. She was an avid sports fan and was the sister of Jack, Vergil, and Cecil Fletcher, who are members of the I.H.S.A.
Hall of Fame. She is survived by two brothers, Vergil Fletcher and wife Violet of Collinsville, and Jack Fletcher and wife Pat of Marion; four sisters, Helen Baker of Marion, Rose Mitchell and husband Delmer of Johnston City, Marian Mauzy and husband Ken of Johnston City, and Ruby Kay Bozarth of Murphysboro; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Cecil Fletcher; two brother-in-laws, John Baker and Ernest Bozarth and one nephew, Tommy Baker. She was dearly loved by all who knew her.
